Cancel your Mondays: Boozy Bingo is back at Gianpula Main Room, and this season it’s taking over Sunday afternoons with booze, bangers and bad decisions. Think bingo turned into a party, with numbers called between sing-alongs, rave breaks, ridiculous games, iconic performances, special guests and crazy prizes.

Golden Oldies (October to November)

A brand-new theme: raid your nanna’s wardrobe, dust off the walking stick and grow old disgracefully, with the golden tracks of every generation, from Elvis to Dolly to ABBA and beyond. Dress code: nanniet.

Malta’s craziest bingo show is going super for Halloween. Boozy Bingo’s Halloween Special takes over the Gianpula Main Room for two shows: a Saturday night special on 31 October and a Sunday afternoon show on 1 November 2026.

What is Boozy Bingo?

Think the bingo you know, turned into a party: numbers called between sing-alongs, rave breaks, ridiculous games, iconic performances, special guests and a lot of prizes. It has been packing out Gianpula for years, running in seasons of themed shows.

Malta Metal Weekend 2026: Kreator, Doro, Europe and More in St Julian’s
After a first edition in July 2025 headlined by Dream Theater and Opeth, Malta Metal Weekend is back for three nights, 13-15 November 2026, at Eden Arena within the InterContinental Malta in St George’s Bay, St Julian’s. Doors open at 17:00 each day.

Friday 13 November

Kreator: German thrash legends from Essen, formed in 1982 and one of the “Big Four” of Teutonic thrash, plus Paradise Lost, the Halifax band whose 1991 album Gothic helped invent gothic metal. With Omnium Gatherum and Angelcrypt.

Saturday 14 November

Doro, the “Metal Queen” and former Warlock singer; Dirkschneider, Accept co-founder Udo Dirkschneider playing Accept’s 1983 album Balls to the Wall in full; and Swedish epic doom masters Candlemass. With Anvil and Anchorite.

Sunday 15 November

Europe (yes, the “The Final Countdown” band) on their 40th anniversary tour, and Vandenberg: former Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg revisiting his Whitesnake years, with Mats Levén on vocals. Plus Gus G with Ronnie Romero, and Atomic Flame.

An Afternoon with Nicko McBrain

On Sunday 15 November at 15:00, Iron Maiden’s longtime drummer Nicko McBrain, who played his final Maiden show in December 2024, hosts a spoken-word afternoon in the InterContinental’s CDC Hall.

PLAYCON 2026: Malta’s Gaming and Esports Festival Returns to the MFCC
Malta’s gaming festival is back. PLAYCON 2026, the sixth edition, takes over the MFCC in Ta’ Qali from 19 to 22 November 2026, bringing together gaming, esports, game development, cosplay and the wider digital entertainment industry, in partnership with GamingMalta.

From 8,000 to 25,000+

PLAYCON launched in 2019 as Malta’s first game development and esports expo, welcoming around 8,000 visitors. By 2024 it had grown to more than 25,000, with the show floor expanding to 7,600 square metres and more than 60 exhibitors.

- Esports: tournaments listed so far include Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, EA FC 27, League of Legends, CS2, Assetto Corsa and Blood Bowl 3.
- DAIGON Students’ Esports World Championship: school teams from around the world compete in Rocket League and Minecraft, following the first edition in Malta in 2025.
